FRT R&T 14- - Multiparty Framework Agreement for Consultancy Services for Coastal Protection Strengthening and Repairs

Galway County Council

Galway County Council ('the Contracting Authority') has identified an on-going need for the services of consulting Engineers in connection with the provision of consultancy services in relation to forthcoming works as a result of damage to public infrastructure following the severe weather in January and early February 2014 and for improvements in coastal protection. The areas of work is on the coastal areas of county galway and islands.
GCC proposes to establish and operate a Framework Agreement for the provision of these consultancy services which will ensure the availability of a number of suitably qualified service providers who are capable of providing services in relation to projects, of varying sizes and degrees of complexity, for all of the service requirements.
The Contracting Authority has decided that the best way of fulfilling its requirements is through the award of a Framework Agreement ('FA').
Due to the nature of the environment and the varying coastal damage caused as a result of the storms, there will be varying size and types of works. It is intended that works will be grouped in packages and issued to short-listed candidates on the framework on the basis of the selection criteria listed in QC1 Form.
