Financial and Transaction Advisors - Establishment of a multi party framework agreement for the Appointment of Financial and Transaction Advisors

Port of Cork Company

The Contracting Entity proposes to engage in a competitive process for the establishment of a multiple supplier framework agreement with a number of service providers for Appointment as Financial and Transaction Advisors. The tenderer, which is found to be fully in conformance with the tender documentation and the most economically advantageous tender under the award criteria contained in the Invitation to Tender will be identified as the successful tenderer designate for the initial contract and will be invited to enter into a framework agreement along with two others and the Contracting Entity. The Port of Corks' Strategic Development Plan (SDP) Review published in 2010 examined the future development of the cargo handling capacity of the Port in the context of achieving a sustainable balance between the economic, social and environmental aspects of port operations, while achieving an acceptable return on investment. A copy of this document is attached.
The SDP identified a number of infrastructure projects as being essential to meet anticipated demand as well as to address key issues with regard to existing infrastructure. The more specific requirements of the Initial Contract will be the provision of advice in relation to the optimum and most appropriate delivery mechanism for the funding and operation of new unitised port facilities at Ringaskiddy East.
