D20/CON/322 Piling & Shoring Equipment Hire
ESB Networks requires one or more suitable supplier(s) to provide a cost effective hiring service for piling, trencing, shoring, tenchless, pipe stoppers, bracing struts, box systems, propping, excavation support, trench boxes, dragboxes, edge protection, walers, and multibrace solution equipment to support its capital and operational delivery programmes. This equipment covers all major and all necessary accessories required to support the hiring of trenching and shoring.
The above listings are only indicated as a guideline and ESB reserves the right to expand the listing in relation to any type of Trenching and Shoring hire equipment that is associated with the construction engineering works and would be deemed relevant in any working environment. ESB will require that all contractors or suppliers who contract through this procurement will gain or hold a minimum Health and Safety and Quality Standard to ESB Requirements.
ESB's scope of requirements for these services has the potential to include a comprehensive end-to-end managed service covering the following aspects:
(i) provision of suitable and compatible equipment as listed and associated equipment (purchase and/or hire options);
(ii) the provision of a temporary design service, including furnishing of temporary design certificates. Accordingly suppliers are required to have relevant Professional Indemnity insurance for such works.
(iii) supplier installation and removal of equipment option.
The framework agreement(s) will be for an initial period of 2 years with the option to extend for 1 year. It is estimated that the framework agreement will start in June 2014 subject to agreement on terms and conditions. ESB reserves the right to issue this under a localised or Republic of Ireland wide provision and to engage with one supplier or with multiple suppliers as deemed to be the best fit solution for ESB.
Note that the resulting framework agreement(s) will be utilised by ESB Networks and contractors/suppliers working directly or indirectly for ESB Networks.
Estimated cost excluding VAT of framework ranges between EUR 100,000 and EUR 225,000 per annum.
