D20/CON/321 Contract Lift Service (Mobile Crane Hire)
ESB Networks requires one or more suitable supplier(s) to provide a cost effective Contract Lift service (predominantly through mobile / vehicle-mounted cranes) to support its capital and operational delivery programmes nationally. Works will be carried both within live electrical substations and in public/private property locations, within predefined zones, throughout Ireland The size of crane required will vary from 20 tonne (or less) to 500 tonne. The extent of the service will include crane hire (equipment) operators and banksman as required.
A sample list of some equipment to be lifted include power transformers (trafo) - radiators - HV porcelin bushings - conservator tanks etc., 110/20kV Trafo: 20MVA (60Tonne), 110/38kV Trafo: 31.5MVA (65 Tonne) or 63MVA (90 Tonne), 38kV/MV Trafo: 5MVA (17 Tonne) or 10MVA (27 Tonne), 15MVA (32 Tonne), 20kV/LV House Trafo; 200KVA (3.0Tonne), MV Interface Unit 3MVA (17 Tonne) or 5MVA (20 Tonne), 38/LV House Trafo; (4.5 Tonne), Protection Cabin (approx. weight = 6.0 Ton), Scrap 63MVA (90 Tonne when full with 5,000 Gallons of oil approx. - 74 Tonnes approx. when drained of oil) Trafo., off loading HV GIS Switchgear, containerised equipment, steel towers/masts etc.. Please note all weights are approximate only. The above listing is indicative only and ESB reserves the right to expand the listing in relation to any type of equipment associated with ESB Networks' construction engineering works. ESB will require that all contractors or suppliers who contract through this procurement will gain or hold a minimum Health and Safety and Quality Standard to ESB Requirements.
The framework agreement(s) will be for an initial period of 2 years with the option to extend for 1 year. It is estimated that the framework agreement will start in June 2014 subject to agreement on terms and conditions. ESB reserves the right to issue this under a localised or Republic of Ireland wide provision and to engage with one supplier or with multiple suppliers as deemed to be the best fit solution for ESB.
Note that the resulting framework agreement(s) will be utilised by ESB Networks and contractors/suppliers working directly or indirectly for ESB Networks.
The estimated cost excluding VAT ranges between EUR 100,000 and EUR 2250,000 per annum.
