Iarnrod Eireann requires companies to provide personnel skilled in the following
(1)
welding of rails in situ, using the Aluminothermic welding process, under Sm W-F format or approved equivalent.
(2)
Electric Arc Welding Repairs, squats, wheel burns,
guage corner cracking - personnel to be certified in both manual and automatic
flux cored and stick welding for carbon and manganese steel.
(3)
Grinding repair to plain Rail,switches and crossings in carbon, TMZ and manganese steel.
(4)Competent in use of abrasive wheels.
(5) Pre and Post point care inspection, repairs and weld repairs.
(6) Point care works.
The work will take place at various locations throughout the Irish Rail Network on day and night shifts.
