Develop & implement a risk prioritised site inspection programme reviewing asset installations, SOP's and operator competencies in alignment with international and national best practice.
Audit against legislative demands, as applicable to the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Isle of Man.
Report on possible deficiencies in practice or procedure, suggest recommendations to address and identify emerging best practice in the industry and opportunities for implementation.

Short description:
TPI to ensure materials delivered to BGN are in accordance with industry, national, European or international standards plus any BGN specific requirements or standards.
TPI services to include but not be limited to:
Visits to manufacturing facilities, throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe in accordance with Quality Inspection Test Plans, QITP (e.g. dimensional checks, FAT, certification review, welding procedures).
Production of reports for each visit.
Issuing of an inspection release note to the manufacturer and BGN stating that the order is in compliance with the order/specification.
Expediting services to include but not be limited to:
Review and approval of QITP and MIPS.
Monitoring production schedule to ensure delivery date is met.
Resources and management:
The TPI shall be able to provide inspection services for any location within Europe within five days of a request.
All report of inspections shall be issued to BGN within three days of the inspection being completed.
The TPI will be expected to provide an account manager. The account manager will be responsible for liasing with individual inspectors to ensure that all BGN specifications and reporting requirements are adhered to.
Additional services:
The TPI will be expected to have technical resources to determine fitness for purpose in the event that a manufacturer requests a deviation.
The TPI will be expected to liaise with BGN and the manufacturer in the event that a CAPA is issued by BGN against the manufacturer.
The TPI will be expected to aid BGN in the identification and approval of new suppliers as required.
The TPI will be expected to provide advice on applicable standards and suppliers for new product ranges which BGN require

Requests to participate may be submitted by single entities or by groups of service providers. A group will not be required to convert into a specific legal form in order to submit a request to participate, but may if Bord Gáis Éireann considers it necessary to ensure that the contract is carried out to its satisfaction, be required to do so prior to award of the contract. Bord Gáis Éireann also reserves the right to contract with each member of the group on the basis of joint and several liability, or with one member of the group as a main contractor with a number of sub-contractors or on any other basis as Bord Gáis considers appropriate.
