03/2014 - Reconfiguration and extension of Paediatric Services at Cork University Hospital
The development will consist of the refurbishment and extension of part of the existing single storey paediatric unit (approx. 1 970 sqm) located to the rear of the main hospital building, to provide new patient accommodation including the construction of a two storey extension (approx. 3 000 sqm) over the existing single storey paediatric unit to provide accommodation for a new outpatient unit, day ward and research facilities with associated plant located on the roof, a new stair and lift block linking the new development to the main hospital building at ground and first floor levels, a new stair block to the rear of the development and associated external landscaping works. The works also comprise full new Mechanical, Electrical & Lift Installations, new roof finishes to the existing building(s), structural alterations, asbestos removal and associated siteworks and services.
