UCC New sports facility - Procurement of Construction Consultancy Team for UCC New Sports Facility at Curraheen

The University intends to relocate from its current Sports Facility at the UCC โ€œFarmโ€ Curraheen to a New Sports Facility on newly acquired lands south of the N40 (Ballincollig Bypass) at Curraheen Road , Bishopstown, Co Cork. The proposed project is to construct a new sports facility on a phased basis comprising a combination of multiple grass and synthetic playing surfaces, new pavilion/changing facility, maintenance building, spectator facilities, potential for an indoor training facility with synthetic surface, car parking and site works. The project will be located on UCC lands (50 acres) which are adjacent to and contiguous with lands owned by the Munster Agricultural Society. UCC hereby issues this information in accordance with the requirements of EC directive 2004/18/EEC (restricted procedure) for applicants and is inviting expressions of interest as the first stage of a 2 stage process under the restricted procedure. The purpose of the first stage is to obtain information from applicants to determine their suitability to carry out the requested service.
Please note this is not a tender document. The construction consultancy services required to carry out this project will be procured on the basis of a single design team appointment. The selected team will be required to provide the full range of consultancy services for the delivery of the project including but not limited to the following:
1. Civil/structural/environmental and fire engineering services.
2. Architectural/urban planning & landscaping;
3. Mechanical & electrical engineering services;
4. Quantity surveying services;
5. Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP).
The lead consultant will be required to fulfil the role of employers representative (ER) for the project in accordance with the requirements of the CWMF. The deliverables are full design team services based on single appointment.
