This requirement is being tendered by Tidal Ventures Limited (TVL) is a joint venture between OpenHydro Group Ltd. and Bord Gáis Energy (BGE) who have been granted an Agreement for Lease (AfL) by The Crown Estate (TCE) to investigate the feasibility of developing a commercial scale 100MW tidal energy array in the waters offshore of Torr Head, on the north east coast of County Antrim in Northern Ireland. It is envisaged that a contract will be awarded by TVL with respect to such requirement for TVL only. Candidates should note that TVL reserves the right at any time, and from time to time, at its absolute discretion, to transfer all or any part of the contract to a third party (which may be an associated company of TVL or otherwise). Expressions of interest should be addressed in writing and sent via email for the attention of The Energy Procurement Manager to gmcprocurement@bordgais.ie. The Invitation to Tender will cover the scope of requirements and award criteria. The tender must be completed and returned to the address in I.1. above not later than 12.00 hrs on 23.9.2013. This process may also include interviews with candidates. The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure.
