a) all queries should be submitted at least seven days before the closing date to enable responses to be issued to all interested candidates prior to the deadline date for the receipt of applications.
b) A soft copy of an Applicants Expression of Interest must be submitted by closing date (See section VI.5) to the email address in I.1 above. The Expression of Interest must include all of the selection criteria and information requirements identified in Sections III.2.1, III.2.2 and III.2.3 above.
c) It is ESBs intention to shortlist suitable candidates.
d) ESB will not be responsible for costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates, whether or not a final contract is awarded.
e) This notice is to serve as the sole Call for Competition for this contract.

Suitability to pursue the professional activity:
Applicants are required, as part of their Expression of Interest, to provide confirmation of the following:
a) Acceptance of Irish Law as governing any contract awarded.
b) Acceptance of the exclusive jurisdiction of Irish Courts.
c) A statement that no record exists against the bidder of successful court actions involving fraud or other major breaches of the Companies Acts(1963-2012) in Ireland (as amended updated from time to time), or similar law in any other jurisdiction.
d) A statement that the applicant has fulfilled its obligations relating to the payment of taxes and social security contributions in Ireland or any other state in which the applicant is located.
e) A statement that the applicant has within the last year complied with all appropriate labour legislation relevant to pay and pension.
f) A statement that the applicant will during the course of the contract term comply with all applicable and appropriate labour legislation relevant to pay and pensions.
Economic and financial standing:
Candidates must demonstrate that they have adequate financial capacity to deliver the project. Applicants are required, as part of their Expression of Interest, to provide the following:
a) Audited financial statements for the applicants proposed contracting entity for the most recent 3 financial years. Such financial statements must include at a minimum
(i) profit & loss account / income statement
(ii) balance sheet
(iii) cash flow statement if applicable &
(iv) the detailed explanatory notes associated with balances within the financial statements.
If audited financial statements are not available for the most recent financial year, up to date management accounts including appropriate explanatory notes should be submitted.
b)Verifiable confirmation of the applicant's ability to raise Bonds from a Standard & Poors or equivalent, AA rated Surety/Bank.
c) Evidence of current levels of insurance cover. Such evidence may be in the form of either
(d -i) copies of the relevant insurance certificates for each of the insured risks, or
(d-ii) letter from insurance broker providing details of insurance cover in respect of the following risks

Applicants must submit within their Expressions of Interest, the following information:

2.Detailed Reference List for refurbishment of V94.2 turbine blades and vanes the shop has refurbished in the last five years. List shall include details on specific blades and vanes refurbished, customer name and year of repair, contract values.
3.Email Contact details of at least five V94.2 customer references shall be provided as ESB plan to contact a sample of customer references.
4.Overview of technical capabilities and processes the Proposed Repair Shop has for refurbishment of V94.2 turbine blades and vanes.
5.Repair Shop final reports for refurbishment of complete set of V94.2 first stage Tla1 rotating blades and one set of V94.2 Tle1 stationary vanes.
6.Details of any proposed subcontractors that will be used for the refurbishment process and state reason.
7.Details of source and type (new or refurbished) of replacement blades and vanes should there be drop out during the refurbishment process.
8.Detail normal turnaround time to complete the refurbishment process for V94.2 Components.
9.Detail fast turnaround time to complete the refurbishment process for V94.2 third stage vanes.
10.Duration in days/weeks for one way ground/sea transport from Ireland to Service Shop.
11.Details of in house design capability in repair shop including number of staff, qualifications and experience.
