NUIG/CON268/13 - NUIG Campus IP Network, equipment and services maintenance contract

NUI, Galway wishes to invite expressions of interest for the provision of Network Maintenance and Support of Equipment and Services in two Lots as follows:
Lot 1
Provide network maintenance and support of equipment and services for the NUI Galway Cisco IP Networking equipment which comprise the core components of the college data network.
The successful framework member will be expected to familiarise themselves with the network architecture and associated infrastructure in operation across NUIG's IP Network as well as NUIG/ISS Services operational processes and procedures.
The successful framework member support services and appropriately qualified staff will work for and with NUIG to ensure timely and high quality resolution of support issues, will take ownership of support issues from initial logging through to resolution, will replace hardware and/or upgrade software/firmware as required, and be flexible and adaptable to work within the colleges annual academic and business cycles.
The maintenance and support partner will have proven experience providing maintenance and support services to other large scale organisations with networks of similar size and complexity as NUIGs and strive to ensure that at all times value for money maintaining business continuity,
and working for the best interests of NUIG are foremost.
Lot 2
Provision of monitoring and response service for the NUIG IP Campus network on a 24/7 basis provisioned on a tiered basis as follows:
1. Core and Distribution network layers for the majority of the campus
2. Distribution and Access layer in one building only
