NUIG/BUILD/013/13 - Electrical Services Installations for NUI Galway Clinical/Translational Research Facility at University Hospital Galway
The proposed Clinical Research Facility and Translational
Research Facility (CRF-TRF) is a four-storey building plus
roof level penthouse plant enclosure with a gross floor area
of approximately 5,300m². This facility is a joint
development of the Health Service Executive and National
University of Ireland Galway. The CRF-TRF will be located
on the grounds of University Hospital Galway and is directly
adjacent to the Clinical Science Institute, Critical Care
Facilities, Ward Accommodation Block and the Maternity
Wards. The Electrical Services Installation for the CRF-TRF
are to provide a complete and fully functioning installation
which shall interface with existing systems within the
Hospital and/or University and with Hospital and laboratory
equipment or other equipment provided by others. The
electrical services installations shall comprise in summary
of MV installations, LV installations, ELV installations,
emergency standby generation, back up power
installations, lighting, emergency lighting, power, ICT,
security, audio visual, access control and fire alarm. This
successful Electrical Services Installation tenderers
contract will be Novated by NUI Galway to the successful
Works Contractor for the main Clinical/ Translational
Research Facility contract.
