Next Generation Sequencing Platforms and associated rapid sample preparation equipment x 2
One platform (lower throughput; 20 Mb - 1 Gb) should
facilitate cost effective sequencing of small genomes
(including bacterial genomes), targeted sets of genes and
gene expression/ChIP-SEQ applications. The Second
(higher throughput; >10Gb) should permit deep
metagenomic analysis of microbial communities, whole
transcriptomes as well as human exomes and genomes.
The platforms should be accompanied by equipment which
can facilitate rapid, automated sample preparation.
