Quantity or scope:
The principal aim of the Laois Water Conservation Project is to conserve water by identifying and undertaking works in those areas of the network which will yield the maximum reduction in leakage in the most cost effective manner within the overall agreed project timescales and budget. The appointment shall be for the following Stages of the Stage 3 Water Laois Conservation Project Mains Rehabilitation Works:Stage (ii) – Design: Review, Planning & Detailed Design;Stage (iii) – Tender Action, Evaluation, and Award;Stage (iv) – Construction;Stage (v) – Handover of Works.The duties of the Consultant will also include a detailed review of Stage 1 & 2 works completed to date, review and update the Rehabilitation Strategy Report, update and recalibration of hydraulic models (EPANET), managing stakeholder involvement & customer communications and other associated duties.The Consultant will be required to perform the duties of Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) as set out in the Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations, 2006 (SI 504 of 2006). Following receipt of the Candidate's submission, Candidates will be assessed and short-listed based on the criteria as outlined in the questionnaire. Shortlisted Candidates will be Invited to Tender and submit detailed Tender Proposals. Only information contained in the questionnaire and the prescribed supporting information within will be considered as valid information for the short-listing process. Additional introduction of prefaced material not contained within the body of the prequalification questionnaire will be discarded. It is the responsibility of each candidate wishing to participate in this competition that they submit a suitability assessment questionnaire and other required documentation complying with the requirements of Laois County Council.
