Impacts of the crisis on access to health care services. Country reports on Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia and Luxembourg
To carry out studies on the impacts of the crisis on access to health care services:
country reports on (lot 1) Greece, (lot 2) Hungary, (lot 3) Ireland, (lot 4) Latvia and (lot 5) Luxembourg:
a) to develop a better understanding of how access to health care services has been affected by the crisis;
b) to establish which vulnerable groups have been most affected by the crisis in terms of reduced access to health care services;
c) to identify initiatives that have reduced or mitigated the potential negative impact of austerity measures on access to health care services.
Each country lot requires the delivery of a 12 000–18 000 word country report, each including an overview of the situation in the specific country (2 500–5 500 words), 3 case studies of service providers (9 000–11 000 words), and a conclusion (500–1 500 words). The country reports should aim to develop a better understanding of how access to health care services has been affected by austerity measures in the specific countries, and to establish which vulnerable groups have been most affected by the crisis in terms of reduced access to health care services. The reports should further aim to identify initiatives that have reduced or mitigated the potential negative impact of austerity measures on access to health care services. In order to establish whether these initiatives have reduced or mitigated the potential negative impact of austerity measures on access, some assessment of the initiatives is needed. While a general overview should be provided, the focus is nursing care homes for older people, ambulatory or outpatient health care for people with disabilities, and ambulatory or outpatient health care for people with mental health problems.
In addition, each lot requires the delivery of comments both on Eurofound's draft working paper and on Eurofound's draft research report.
