Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine

This procurement competition relates to the supply of Indirect Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbant Assay (iELISA) test kits for the detection of antibodies to Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis in bovine blood (individual and pooled bovine serum samples). It is not possible to precisely state the exact number of tests that will be required but it is currently estimated that a minimum of 100,000 tests will be needed over the term of the contract (2 years). The iELISA kits will be delivered by the successful tenderer to the Blood Testing Laboratory (BTL), Model Farm Road, Cork, Ireland, on a draw down basis over the term of the contract. It is not currently possible to provide a precise figure for the maximum number of tests required but it is not envisaged that the number of tests will exceed 500,000 over the term of the contract.
Tenderers should note that the contracting authority reserves the right not to draw down the full minimum estimated amount stated above, and that, in the event of greater than the estimated maximum amount stated above being required, any additional purchases will be subject to the same terms and conditions.
