Framework Agreement for Construction Design Professional Services (Chartered Engineer, Architect, Building Surveyor) for Pyrite Remediation Scheme (Lot 1 and 2)

Housing Agency

The Housing and Sustainable Communities Agency (Housing Agency), is empowered, under the terms of a Pyrite Resolution Act 2013, at the direction of the Pyrite Resolution Board (PRB), to engage consultants, advisors, contractors or other bodies it considers necessary to carry out the remediation of dwellings identified as qualifying for remediation by the PRB.
The Housing Agency intends to establish Framework panels of suitably qualified Construction Design Professionals (CDP) to survey, test, design, inspect and
certify the remediation of dwellings in accordance with I.S.398:2013.
Two separate Frameworks will be established on a Lot basis:
a) Lot 1 for the remediation of 7 or more dwellings,
b) Lot 2 for the remediation of 6 or less dwellings.
Construction Design Professional Services (Chartered Engineers, Architects, Building Surveyors or equivalents) are required for the remediation of dwellings damaged by pyritic underfloor filling under the terms of the Pyrite Remediation Scheme. The Construction Design Professional will be required to carry out a pyrite verification process which will include the testing of dwellings as required, liaising with dwelling owners, issue reports to the Housing Agency, survey dwellings, prepare Remedial Works Plans in accordance with IS 398 2013 and the terms of the project brief, tender to framework contractors, report on tenders, oversee and inspect remediation works on site, administer the contract, certify remediation work in accordance with IS 398-2:2013 Annex B, agree final accounts with contractors and manage the resolution of snagging issues at the end of the defects liability period.
