Enniscorthy Flood Defence Scheme

The service requirements to be provided are those
engineering services required by the Contracting Authority
in connection with the Enniscorthy Flood Defence Scheme.
This project forms the main part of a flood protection
scheme for Enniscorthy town. The OPW has prepared a
detailed report on a flood relief scheme for Enniscorthy. In
addition to this project a separate phase of the Project
involves the replacement of the Existing Seamus Rafter
N11 Road Bridge, with a new bridge south of this location.
The Engineering Consulting services now required include
the preparation of a full design and the preparation of
contract documents for the proposed flood relief scheme.
The service requirements will also include for design of
alterations to certain roads and footpaths and other related
ancillary works.
Assimilating all documentation produced to-
date in relation to the Enniscorthy Flood Relief Scheme. (An
EIS for the scheme has already been prepared and will be
made available upon request)
Providing the services as Engineer to the project;
Preparation of all contract documentation;
Preparation of Full Tender Analysis Report and
Recommendation;
Procurement and supervision of ground investigation
contracts;
Procurement and supervision of topographical survey
contracts;
Procurement and supervision of all contractors / specialist
sub-contractors;
Contract Management during all Construction on Site:
Acting as the Project Supervisor Design Process as
required under the Safety, Health and Welfare
at Work (Construction) Regulations 2006;
Liaison and communication with parties impacted or
potentially impacted by the scheme
Liaison with Consultants appointed by the Local Authority to
the New Bridges Project associated with the Flood Defence
Scheme
Preparation of Final Account reports for all construction
contracts associated with the Scheme
And other duties considered appropriate to the brief.

The time limit for receipt of tenders was 2013-06-14. The procurement was published on 2013-05-01.
