DF 1/13 - Purchase of Commercial Vehicles
Framework Agreement for Purchase of Vans An Post is the Irish National Postal Service Provider. An Post intends to enter into a framework agreement with one or more suppliers for the purchase of commercial vehicles for its owned fleet. It is anticipated that the agreement will be in place for a period of 4 years with the option to extend it for a further 1 or 2 years.
Contracts will be awarded in 4 Lots:
Lot 1 Small Vans with capacity up to 3 cubic meters approx.
Lot 2 Light Medium Vans with capacity up to 8 cubic meters approx.
Lot 3 Medium Vans with capacity up to 10 cubic meters approx.
Lot 4 High Roof Vans with capacity up to 13 cubic meters approx.
Vehicles will be used nationwide, in rural and urban areas, for collection and delivery of mail. An Post requires robust, fit for purpose vehicles with comprehensive warranty, appropriate nationwide network and strong after sales service. Delivery of vehicles will be required nationwide in up to 200 locations.
Suppliers must have experience in operating contracts of similar size and nature and must be able to demonstrate this with suitable references.
An Post will use Supply Line to select suppliers who will be invited to tender. Suppliers interested in the contract need to register with Supply Line by 22.2.2013. An Post may use pre-qualification process to short list suppliers who will be invited to tender.
