Bord Iascaigh Mhara - Single Party Framework Agreement for Legal Services
BIM proposes to engage in a competitive process for the establishment of a single-operator framework agreement for legal services in respect of its ongoing daily operations. As a public body, BIM is seeking to leverage efficiency from its legal services and BIM has adopted a framework approach
to the acquisition of legal services to maximise efficiency, effectiveness and value for money.
BIM requires a full range of legal services under a number of key areas including:
(a) Contract law (contracts, concessions and licences);
(b) Public Procurement law;
(c) European and Competition law, including State Aid (grant regulations, recovery, etc) and European Economic Integration Groupings (outline only);
(d) Public Law & Administrative Law;
(e) Marine (incl. Sea Fisheries) & Environmental Legislation;
(f) Dispute Resolution & Legal Representation;
(g) General Corporate Governance (including Code of Practice for the Governance of Sate Bodies 2009 and Sea Fisheries Act 1952);
(h) Employment Law including TUPE;
(i) Pensions practice and legislation, both private and public service;
(j) Intellectual Property Law, including patent and trade mark issues, and product development issues;
(k) Property Law, including foreshore issues and derelict sites.
