The Scope of the Capital Works may include, but is not limited to, major and minor Capital Works services to BGÉ premises for Bord Gáis Éireann, Bord Gáis Networks (Cork, Dublin, Limerick, Waterford and Galway), Bord Gáis Energy (Cork, Dublin, Limerick and Waterford) Gaslink (Cork), Irish Water (National) and any other associated companies/subsidiaries. Major and minor Capital Works for new and existing buildings, site developments, site infrastructure/services, along with refurbishment and renovation of existing buildings.
Applicants should note that due to the urgent need to award the initial contract under the Framework Agreement, BGE is using an accelerated procurement procedure. Applicants that are issued with an Invitation to Tender must therefore be in a position to submit tender responses to BGE within ten days of receipt of the Invitation to Tender.

A pre-qualification questionnaire will be issued to all candidates who respond to this notice. Expressions of interest should be addressed in writing and sent via email for the attention of The Procurement Manager to cwhite@bge.ie. The questionnaire will cover the financial, economic and technical capacity of the candidates. The questionnaire must be completed and returned to the address in I.1) above not later than 17.00 hrs Monday 21.10.2013. The responses will be used to assist in drawing up a tender list. This process may also include interviews with candidates. The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure. This is a framework for three (3) years with an option to extend anually for up to a further period of two years at the sole discretion of BGE.

i. contract with the prime contractor only;
ii. contract with each member of the consortium/joint venture on the basis of joint and several liabilities;
iii. contract with one member of the consortium/joint venture as prime contractor to whom the other members willbe sub-contractors; or
iv. at its discretion, require the consortium/joint venture to enter into any other contracting arrangement.
