The expected scope is the supply and delivery of water treatment chemicals to the required specification, delivery form and quantity to various locations throughout the State. This will include all water treatment chemicals required in connection with:
โ€” the abstraction, treatment and distribution of drinking water, and;
โ€” the collection and treatment of waste water and sludge disposal.
Applicants are not required to be able to supply all chemicals listed above; BGE may purchase individual chemicals or groups of chemicals from different Applicants.
The chemical supplies may include but not be limited to the following:

โ€” High Acid Aluminium Sulphate,

A pre-qualification questionnaire will be issued to all candidates who respond to this notice. Expressions of interest should be addressed in writing and sent via email for the attention of The Procurement Manager to cwhite@bge.ie The questionnaire will cover the financial, economic and technical capacity of the candidates. The questionnaire must be completed and returned to the address in I.1. above not later than 17.00hrs Monday 26th August 2013. The responses will be used to assist in drawing up a tender list. This process may also include interviews with candidates. The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure. A consortium/joint venture will not be required to convert into a specific legal form in order to submit a Qualification Submission, but may be required to do so prior to award of the Framework Agreement. BGE may:
i. contract with the prime contractor only;
ii. contract with each member of the consortium/joint venture on the basis of joint and several liabilities;
iii. contract with one member of the consortium/joint venture as prime contractor to whom the other members will be sub-contractors; or
iv. at its discretion, require the consortium/joint venture to enter into any other contracting arrangement.
