The scope of the work is the Provision of Capital Works in relation to Facilities Management to BGE (the โ€œServicesโ€). It is intended that the initial contract will be to supply Capital Works Services to the Irish Water organisation at between 5 and 10 main offices located in metropolitan areas and approximately forty small regional sites nationwide. These premises may range in size from 1000-6000 mยฒ for the main offices to approximately 250 m2 for regional sites. The scope of work shall include but shall not be limited to:

โ€” New Buildings;
โ€” Demolition;
โ€” Extensions/ Refurbishment/ Upgrades of existing buildings;
โ€” Mechanical and Electrical Projects;
โ€” Fabric and Building Works;
โ€” Groundwork and Landscaping;
โ€” Emergency Event Services;
โ€” Consultancy ( Providing advisory services in relation to new technologies and methodologies);
โ€” Health and Safety (PSDP & PSCS roles);
โ€” Compliance ( Achieving and advising on all statutory and regulatory obligations);
โ€” Business Continuity.
BGE does not make any guarantee in regard to any contract award and/or the volume or value of services to be procured over the lifetime of the Framework Agreement.

A pre-qualification questionnaire will be issued to all candidates who respond to this notice. Expressions of interest should be addressed in writing and sent via email for the attention of The Procurement Manager to rahern@bge.ie The questionnaire will cover the financial, economic and technical capacity of the candidates. The questionnaire must be completed and returned to the address in I.1. above not later than 17.00 on Monday 12.8.2013. The responses will be used to assist in drawing up a tender list. This process may also include interviews with candidates. Where the contracting entity is a single contractor, it must have a turnover to or equal to or in excess of EUR1m in the previous 3 years. This is a 3 year with an option to extend for a further 2 at the sole discretion of BGE.

A group will not be required to convert into a specific legal form in order to submit a request to participate, but may if Bord Gรกis ร‰ireann considers it necessary to ensure that the contract is carried out to its satisfaction, be required to do so prior to award of the contract. Bord Gรกis ร‰ireann also reserves the right to contract with each member of the group on the basis of joint and several liability, or with one member of the group as a main contractor with a number of sub-contractors or on any other basis as Bord Gรกis considers appropriate.
