Bord Gais Eireann

Bord Gais wishes to appoint a Managed Service Provider to manage Meter Data Management Services in its water division. These services may include, but not limited to, the provision of a single mobile device to read multiple AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) water meters, management of all hardware and software related to the device, management of interfaces from the device to a single meter data store, validation estimation and editing of data at the data store and ultimate transfer of meter read data to the Bord Gais billing system. The service provider will be responsible for all aspects of meter data management, beginning with domestic meters (circa 1.05 m) and extending to non-domestic meters (circa 245k) at a later date. Bord Gais would also like to include cyclical reading of domestic meters as an option in this tender. It is planned to read domestic meters on a quarterly basis.

The questionnaire must be completed and returned to the address in I.1. above not later than 12:00 on Friday 8.3.2013. The responses will be used to assist in drawing up a tender list. This process may also include interviews with candidates. Requests to participate may be submitted by single entities or by groups of service providers. A group will not be required to convert into a specific legal form in order to submit a request to participate, but may if Bord Gáis Éireann considers it necessary to ensure that the contract is carried out to its satisfaction, be required to do so prior to award of the contract. Bord Gáis Éireann also reserves the right to contract with each member of the group on the basis of joint and several liability, or with one member of the group as a main contractor with a number of sub-contractors or on any other basis as Bord Gáis considers appropriate.
