1 - Multi Party Framework Agreement for Consultancy Services (Bridge Design Work)

Dublin City Council

The Contracting Authority (Dublin City Council) has in excess of one hundred (100) bridges in its charge with varying types of construction such as masonry arches, reinforced concrete, pre-stressed and post-tensioned concrete, cast iron, steel and opening bridges. Bridge ages vary from those built 250 years ago such as the Liam Mellowes Bridge to the modern day James Joyce and Samuel Beckett Bridges. The bridges that span the various rivers, canals and railways around the city are key infrastructural assets and require an active management system to prevent loss of service.
The Contracting Authority (CA) wishes to procure the services of suitable consultants to carry out design for repair/refurbishment of bridges and also for design of new bridges required by the CA's bridge management system.
An restricted procurement procedure will be used to appoint a number of consultants to a framework agreement ensuring the availability of a variety of suitably qualified service providers, capable of providing services in relation to projects of varying sizes and complexity.
