Scope of the procurement
Title: vehicle-fleet management services
Quantity or scope:
The Council has a fleet of over 800 vehicles assigned to fourteen Divisions/Sections. The fleet comprises a broad range of vehicle types from small cars to Road Sweepers.A comprehensive fleet tracking and information system is required on the basis of a monthly fee per vehicle tracked. The monthly fee must include all costs involved, including hardware, installation, commissioning, training, licences, data maintenance and ongoing operating and maintenance costs.Tenderers shall note that individual Divisions/Sections will call off their requirements under the contract directly from the Contractor and payment for services received will be made by the individual Divisions/Sections to whom invoices will be sent.Dublin City Council can give no guarantee as to the number of vehicles that will require tracking. This will depend on the take-up of the system by Fleet User Divisions/Sections. In this regard, Dublin City Council has approximately 180 vehicles currently being tracked using two different tracking systems. It would be the intention of Dublin City Council on award of contract to move these vehicles to the corporate system being procured under this tender so that all vehicles are being tracked under the one system.
