Bord Gais Eireann

Supply of direct current DC battery charger systems, associated hardware, including but not limited to, cabinets, fans, electronic indicators and interconnecting cables. The supply of associated storage comprising individual cells arranged to form a battery in a suitable cabinet or rack. Services for inspection, testing, surveying of existing arrangements and commissioning of new DC standby systems, as installed by others. Candidates should note that a contract will be awarded with respect to the requirements described in this PQQ for Bord Gáis Networks only. Bord Gáis Éireann reserves the right at any time and from time to time, at its absolute discretion, to transfer all or any part of the contract to a third party (which may be an associated company of Bord Gáis Éireann (for example, a networks subsidiary of Bord Gáis Éireann) or otherwise). Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, Bord Gáis Éireann may exercise this right because it is required, or it considers it appropriate, to do so having regard to any arrangements implementing the unbundling requirements of the Third Gas Directive (Directive 2009/73/EC) in Ireland. It is expected that such implementation will be effected on or following 3.3.2012 and a transfer of the contract by Bord Gáis Éireann to a third party may occur at that time. In order to receive the pre qualification questionnaire please forward your expression of interest to cwhite@bge.ie. The closing date for return of submissions is 17:00 hrs Wednesday 9.5.2012.

A pre-qualification questionnaire will be issued to all candidates who respond to this notice. Expressions of interest should be addressed in writing and sent via email for the attention of The Networks Procurement Manager to cwhite@bge.ie. The questionnaire will cover the financial, economic and technical capacity of the candidates. The questionnaire must be completed and returned to the address in I.1. above not later than 17:00 hrs Wednesday 9.5.2012. The responses will be used to assist in drawing up a tender list. This process may also include interviews with candidates. The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure. In order to receive the Pre Qualification Questionnaire, please foward your Expression of Interest for the Attention of The Networks Procurement Manager to cwhite@bge.ie. Bórd Gáis may terminate this competition (or any part of it), change the basis of and the procedures for the bidding process at any time or procure the services or any of them by alternative means if it appears the services or any of them may be more advantageously procured by Bórd Gáis. Bord Gáis Éireann also reserves the right to contract with each member of the group on the basis of joint and several liability, or with one member of the group as a main contractor with a number of sub-contractors or on any other basis as Bord Gáis considers appropriate.
