With a dedicated team working across six regions, Fáilte Ireland offers tourism professionals and service providers a wide range of support services.
General requirements for service providers.
— Successful bidder/s will work with Fáilte Ireland staff on a national and regional level including contributions to new programme developments and innovations,
— All marketing and promotional materials in addition to programme and learning materials must carry the Fáilte Ireland logo. Neither the City nor environs programme can be independently named or branded. Fáilte Ireland will provide the successful tenderer/s with its logo, name cards, folders and PowerPoint template for use at all events as appropriate,
— In inviting tenders for this programme, it is the expectation of Fáilte Ireland that it will benefit from the innovation and creativity of learning designers who, building on the success of the current programme, will bring a fresh approach to both learning process and content,
— Once developed, all programme materials remain the property of Fáilte Ireland,
— Specific attention should be given to e-learning approaches and service providers will be required to show how they will incorporate an e-learning dimension to the delivery of the programme. In this regard, e-Learning is defined as a planned learning experience that uses a wide spectrum of technologies, mainly Internet or computer-based, to reach learners at a distance. Rather than substituting direct interaction with delivery of learning exclusively through e-learning, the focus will be on using e-learning to supplement the learning process,
— Tenderer/s must have a thorough understanding of the tourism business environment in addition to a keen appreciation of how to manage both the national and city tour guiding programmes.
