SE 3907 FR - Front Line Security Services

Iarnrod Eireann-Irish Rail

Rail stations and services are intensively used by a large customer base that draws from all sections of society.
These factors contribute to an environment where breaches of personal and commercial security can occur.
The general scope of work includes on-board security, station concourse security, mobile patrols and incident response. The intention is to appoint one supplier to service all requirements but Iarnrรณd ร‰ireann will consider dividing the requirement into more than one contract depending on the proposals received.
The primary requirement of a security contractor is that they provide a professional service that is consistent with the overall offering by Iarnrรณd ร‰ireann in a manner that is visible and reassuring to customers and staff alike. It must be a deterrent to those intent on breach of law and an authoritative response to those that breach it.
Our Requirements will primarily be in the Dublin Area but may extend to other rail locations and services at times.
Note: IE has an existing Security Contract in place that addresses our requirement for site and asset security. The requirements addressed in this Tender Process are separate to that and are of a different scope. Our intention is to award a 3 year contract with the option to extend for a further 2 years. Further details of the duration and any other conditions will be provided in our conditions of tender document at the invitation to tender stage. Once the qualification process has been completed, Applicants will be notified of their acceptance or otherwise.
Thereafter the short-listed Applicants will be invited to participate in the formal tender process.
It must be noted that Irish Rail shall take account of the need to ensure adequate competition in determining the number of contractors selected to tender for or to negotiate the contract.
To be considered for inclusion in the tender stage please complete the attached pre qualification questionnaire.
