Provision of strategic advice on Energy Modelling and Statistical Analysis

The objective of this Invitation to Tender is to invite proposals for the provision of strategic advice and support to the Energy Policy Statistical Support Unit (EPSSU) and the Energy Modelling Group (EMG).
A range of support services are required for EPSSU and the EMG. These will include, but not be limited to, the following:
โ€” Guide work programme development,
โ€” Provide technical support including input to and critical assessment of publications,
โ€” Provide general support and advice appropriate to the development of SEAIโ€™s capacity to deliver on its energy statistics mandate,
โ€” Support the development of energy modelling capacity related to energy policy,
โ€” Advise on choice and selection of appropriate energy modelling tools,
โ€” Provide a measured perspective on the challenges posed by the sustainable energy agenda,
โ€” Provide a watching brief on relevant international activities and developments, and make connections between SEAI and the wider energy modelling community (must include expert knowledge on electricity market developments),
โ€” Provide technical support to the EMG, including to facilitate energy supply and demand forecasting,
โ€” Provide general support and advice appropriate for the development of SEAIโ€™s modelling capacity.
