Panel of Counsel (Barristers Services)
It is intended that a panel of counsel will be established to deal with certain legal matters on behalf of Health Service Executive. A sub panel of Counsel is also to be established to undertake work in child care law. This reflects the decision of the Government to establish the National Children and Family Services Agency, under the auspices of the Department of Children and Youth Affairs, which will be responsible for undertaking all child care work. For these purposes, “child care law” includes all of the legal work required to be undertaken on behalf of the Agency related to its responsibilities for the care of children. The general range of services required is from both Senior and Junior Counsel with expertise in the following areas:
Child care Law,
Judicial Review.
Constitutional Law.
Labour Law.
Mental Health.
Procurement and Competition Law.
European Law.
Property Law.
Criminal Law.
