Merchandising Concession for The Gathering Ireland 2013

Fáilte Ireland intends to appoint a merchandising concessionaire for "The Gathering Ireland 2013".
The merchandising service will include the following:
— supply of an approved product range of promotional merchandise under the offical "The Gathering" brand,
— deployment of suitable marketing and advertising initiatives to promote sales,
— provision of an online ordering system linked to the official website www.thegatheringireland.com and fulfilment of online orders,
— sale of products through approved retail outlets throughout Ireland,
— operation of mobile sales unit to attend local venues/events,
— payment of agreed royalties to Fáilte Ireland,
— management of the full end to end service.
These services are being procured as a service concession Fáilte Ireland - "The Gathering Ireland 2013" will not be bound by the terms of the Regulations for the purposes of this competition but will, however, be conducting this competition in accordance with EU fundamental principles (transparency, equality of treatment, non discrimination) in a manner similar to a negotiated procedure, as further detailed in the tender documents.

Technical and professional ability:
The application should be a maximum of 3 x A4 pages and should include (1) information about the applicant firm/person (2) full details of previous experience in providing a similar merchandising service to that required by Fáilte Ireland and (3) an overview of the methodology proposed to effectively deliver the service complete with an estimate of the time to have the service operational and products available for sale. The application should be supported by the following additional information in relation to the applicant’s business:

— Current Tax Clearance Certificate for the applicant firm/person,
— Details of turnover on a similar concession over the past 3 years,
— Resources available to the applicant in order to operate the concession.
Applications will be assessed and candidates will be short listed and invited to attend interviews and submit formal proposals /offers by 29.6.2012.
The appointment will be subject to the successful applicant satisfying Fáilte Ireland of their suitability in terms of financial and economic capacity under public procurement rules.
