Following the granting of a Railway Order by An Bord Pleanรกla on 3 August 2012 and subject to that Railway Order becoming enforceable, RPA intends to appoint a specialist Heritage Contractor, prior to the commencement of the main works for Luas Broombridge (Line BXD) to carry out Heritage Works to ensure that items of historic and architectural heritage importance are adequately protected for the duration of these works and safeguarded for the future. A range of heritage items along the route including OโConnell Street, College Green and St. Stephenโs Green will be removed, stored and fully reinstated by the specialist heritage contractor, to allow the installation of tracks and associated infrastructure for the new Luas Broombridge Scheme. The Works to remove the heritage items are scheduled to begin in mid 2013. All heritage items will be carefully stored in a dedicated storage facility provided by the Heritage Contractor in anticipation of their full and final reinstatement on completion of the Luas Broombridge Scheme. The works shall be divided into three phases as follows: Phase 1 โ Removal and Transport of Heritage Items; Phase 2 โ Storage of Heritage Items; Phase 3 โ Transport and Reinstatement of Heritage items. Interested Candidates should request a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) from the contact in Section I.1 above before the deadline set out in Section IV.3.3.
