EirGrid has a Head of Internal Audit and Compliance whose role includes the preparation of internal audit plans, the management of audits and giving annual statement on the system of internal control.
EirGrid are seeking to secure support for the Head of Internal Audit and Compliance to undertake audits under his direction, to prepare draft audit reports and advice on internal audit matters in EirGrid.
The Internal Audit work will conform to the guidance issued in the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies and the standards set by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
