IBTS/016/2012 - The IBTS requires suitable companies to provide appropriate vehicles and drivers for the transport of samples
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service test approx 165 000 donations per annum in our Donor Grouping, NAT and Virology laboratories. Samples are collected from our donation clinics each evening Monday to Friday with occasional Sunday clinics and transported to the National Blood Centre, James St, Dublin. The SNBTS (Edinburgh) currently provide a contingency back up service for the IBTS which is tested four times per annum.
