IADT ICT. Computer equipment tender 2012
Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art Design & Technology
IADT currently maintains a range of high end computer workstation laboratories to meet the academic needs of its staff and students. These workstations generally host a number of high end computer graphic and processor intensive software packages, examples of which would include: 3D and 2D Animation packages (3D Studio Max; Maya; Annimo; Flash); graphic design packages (AutoCAD; Photoshop; Illustrator); digital editing packages (Première Pro; Sound Forge; Avid Express). These workstations are also used for mathematical modelling (MathLab; Mathematica) and computer programming.
Some of these high end workstation labs now require replacement as part of IADT’s ICT replacement policy.
Also as part of this replacement policy a number server computers now also require replacement. These server computers are all based around Microsoft’s Server 2008 R2 64 bit operating system and HyperV.
