The scope of work includes the manufacture and supply of HFI Steel Line Pipe in accordance with EN 10208-2 (2009) and BGE supplementary specification BGE/PS7 (Rev 8) and the following parameters:
— outside diameter: 168.3 mm to 610 mm,
— steel grade: L290 to L450,
— wall thickness: 7.11 mm to 19.1 mm.
Coating of the pipe with any of the following coating systems:
— 3 layer HD Polyethylene Coating - DIN 30670: April 1991 & BGE Supplementary Specification BGE/PS6/R2 (Rev 2),
— 3 layer HD Polyethylene Ribcoat - DIN 30670: April 1991 & BGE Supplementary Specification BGE/PS6/R2 (Rev 2),
— concrete coating - GBE/CW9 Parts 2 & 3 (April 1993),
— Polypropylene - DIN 30670: April 1991 & BGE Supplementary Specifications BGE/PS6/R2 (Rev 2) & BGE/WF/SP/003 (Rev 0),
— internal epoxy coating - flow lining to GBE/CM1:Feb 1993 & GBE/CM2:Feb 1993.
Loading of the pipe at the manufacturing/coating facility and the delivery of the pipe to a pipe storage area in Ireland or South West Scotland and off-loading of the pipe.

A pre-qualification questionnaire will be issued to all candidates who respond to this notice. Expressions of interest should be addressed in writing and sent via email for the attention of the networks procurement manager to cwhite@bge.ie. The questionnaire will cover the financial, economic and technical capacity of the candidates. The questionnaire must be completed and returned to the address in I.1. above not later than 17:00 hrs Friday 20.4.2012. The responses will be used to assist in drawing up a tender list. This process may also include interviews with candidates.
