Framework Agreement for the Provision of Legal Services
Bord Gáis Éireann requires legal services in respect of the entirety of its business. The framework will be used to draw down legal services in respect of its requirements over the duration of the framework. The framework will cover legal requirements for Ireland, the UK and the Isle of Man. Legal services required in relation to the sale of the energy business of BGE are outside the scope of this tender competition and will be procured under a separate competition although BGE reserves the right to procure additional or ancillary legal services in relation to the sale under the framework. The intention is to establish a framework agreement for legal services in five Lots categorised as follows:
Lot 1 – Legal services – Ireland.
Lot 2 – Legal Services – Northern Ireland.
Lot 3 – Legal Services – England.
Lot 4 – Legal Services – Scotland.
Lot 5 - Legal Services – Isle of Man.
The maximum number of legal service providers varies from Lot to Lot. BGE reserves the right to purchase outside the framework agreement.

This framework agreement concerns a non-priority (Annex XVIIB) service which is not subject to the provisions of Directive 2004/17/EC covering framework agreements, timescales and choice of procedure. The intention is to establish a framework agreement for legal services in five Lots. The duration of the framework agreement for each Lot will be for an initial period of three years with an option to extend for two further one year periods.
