The plant has a production capacity of 410 000 m per annum, it also employs 165 people and, as well as supplying the Irish market, exports MDF to the UK, mainland Europe and beyond. The company has successfully established Medite as the leading MDF brand. It has pioneered a range of premium MDF products including Medite Premier, Medite Exterior, Medite MR, Medite Plus, Medite FQ., Medite FR a flame retardant MDF, and Medite. Our range includes seven different families of MDF products and many variants, with over 400 possible specifications.

Scope of the procurement
Short description:
Medite Europe located in Clonmel, Co Tipperary and has produced Medite medium density fibreboard (MDF) since 1983. The plant has a production capacity of 410 000 m
Medite purchases bales of forest residue product as material for its biomass energy facilities. The material in these bales must be shredded to size requirements in order to facilitate entry to the Biomass System. Medite requires a mobile shredder for this purpose. The service provider will also need to have a machine available with the capability to feed these bales into the shredding machine. Fully trained operators will be required from the provider to operate all machinery when on site.
