Bord Gáis Éireann wishes to appoint at least three economic operators to provide domestic water metering services and works across eight geographical regions within Ireland. A contract with a number of economic operators whose responsibilities will include the provision of all required works and services associated with the following; Provision from established frameworks of all boundary boxes, fittings and water meters with radio units and/or integrated meters (either meter option may include meter reading technology). The installation of boundary boxes, fittings and water meters with radio units and/or integrated meters using approved meter reading technology into existing domestic service pipes including all excavation, backfill and reinstatement requirements. Meter reading and maintenance of those water meters with radio units and/or integrated meters installed by the Contracting Entity may also be required for a fixed period. This is a three (3) year contract with an option to extend annually for a further period of up to two (2) years.

Bord Gáis Éireann also reserves the right to contract with each member of the group on the basis of joint and several liability, or with one member of the group as a main contractor with a number of sub-contractors or on any other basis as Bord Gáis considers appropriate.
