Tender for provision of services for an operational satellite space segment

The Defence Forces of Ireland has a requirement to tender for satellite space segment pending a government decision in support of a troop deployment to the UNIFIL Force (Lebanon). This space segment will provide interconnectivity as an operational strategic link for both voice and data services. The link provision will be from Dublin to a headquarters site with the option to connect up to a further 3 individual geographically separated sites within Lebanon.
The DF invites tenders for the supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of Ku Band Space Segment connections.
It is intended that this invitation to tender will give rise to a contract for one calendar year (pending Irish Government decision) with the option to renew annually for up to a total of 4 years following a joint annual review (1 + 1 + 1+1).
