Support services for the Irish Aid Fellowship Programme 2012-2014

The main purpose of the tender is to support the achievement of the overall Fellowship Programme aim and objectives though the provision of specific expert services to the Irish Aid Fellowship Desk in support of both strands of the programme. The successful tender will be expected to:
1. Contribute to the successful completion of their studies by high quality candidates under both strands;
2. Research and propose options that will extend the range of potential study choices available under the Fellowship Programme;
3. Continue to support alignment with Irish Aid programmatic approach at country level;
4. Further develop, support and maintain an alumni network for all Irish Aid funded study fellows in particular those funded under the 2 strands.
In support of the successful delivery of objectives the following key areas interalia will be carried out by the successful tenderer:
1. Support the FTP call, appraisal and selection process;
2. Provision of administrative and support services for all successful fellows under the Fellowship Programme;
3. Maintain a functioning alumni network;
4. Monitoring and tracking of fellows on completion of studies;
5. Financial management and administration of fellowship funds;
6. Communication and promotion.
The successful tenderer will have direct responsibility for the operational management and administration in support of these tasks. Details of main tasks and services are outlined in 2.1 to 2.10 of the terms of reference (attached). The table in the TOR's gives an indication of the estimated number of individual cases to be handled within specific tasks at various stages of the process annually.
As there is a likelihood of changes from year to year a lower and upper number are set out for each.
