Dublin City Council is subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act (FOI) 1997, 2003. If you consider that any of the information supplied by you is either commercially sensitive or confidential in nature, this should be highlighted and the reasons for the sensitivity specified. It will be a condition for the award of any contract by Dublin City Council that the successful Tenderer and all sub-contractors produce a valid tax clearance certificate or C2 Certificate from the Revenue Commissioners. In the case of a non-resident Tenderer, a statement of suitability from the Revenue Commissioners will be required.

Suppliers must register their interest on the etenders web site (www.etenders.gov.ie) in order to be included on the mailing list for clarifications.

Please note in relation to all documents, that where reference is made to a particular standard, make, source, process, trademark, type or patent, that this is not to be regarded as a de facto requirement. In all such cases it should be understood that such indications are to be treated strictly and solely for reference purposes only, to which the words "or equivalent" will always be appended.

Please note also that all information relating to attachments, including clarifications and changes, will be published on the Irish Government Procurement Opportunities Portal (www.etenders.gov.ie) only. Registration is free of charge. Dublin City Council will not accept responsibility for information relayed (or not relayed) via third parties.

Dublin City Council will not be responsible for any expenses, costs or charges incurred by candidates or tenderers in this contract award process.

Dublin City Council will invite at least 5 tenders onto the framework, provided that the quality of applications received allow for this.

Dublin City Council reserves the right to award this contract to more than one supplier.

All documents relating to RFT must be clearly marked " RFT Re: Tools and Equipment " and be returned to: Senior Executive Officer, Dublin City Council, Procurement Unit, 31-36 Ormond Quay, Dublin 7. Documents must be received no later than 12-midday 20th September 2011. Late submissions will not be accepted.

The Purchasing Authority is acting on behalf of the following organisations:

Fingal County Council and Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown County Council which are also eligible to use these arrangements. The uptake of services and the timing of same will be at the discretion of each local authority. No obligation will exist for any contracting authority to place orders through this contract.

Clients are not and will not be under any obligation to avail of this tender, if any, pursuant to this competition. No contract awarded pursuant to this RFT will confer exclusivity to the Contractor where appointed.
