Bord Gáis Eireann is seeking applications from suitably experienced vendors to supply industrial gas meters ranging in size from G10 to G1600 and optical character recognition mechanism solution for industrial gas meter reading, which shall be compatible with any index display industrial gas meter.
Bord Gáis reserves the right to contract with more than 1 supplier in order to meet the network requirements for various meter sizes, flowrate capacities and measuring forms.
All measuring equipment must be in compliance with the relevant EU metrology and safety legislation.
Expressions of interest must be addressed in writing for the attention of the networks procurement manager via email to nhorgan@bge.ie.

A pre-qualification questionnaire will be issued to all candidates who respond to this notice. Expressions of interest should be addressed in writing and sent via email for the attention of the Networks Procurement Manager to nhorgan@bge.ie. The questionnaire will cover the financial, economic and technical capacity of the candidates. The questionnaire must be completed and returned to the address in I.1. above not later than 21.2.2011 (17:00). The responses will be used to assist in drawing up a tender list. This process may also include interviews with candidates. The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure. Bord Gáis reserves the right to contract with more than one supplier in order to meet the network requirements for various meter sizes, flowrate capacities and measuring forms. All measuring equipment must be in compliance with the relevant EU metrology and safety legislation. This pre-qualification questionnaire represents the start of the Tender process. It is intended to shortlist vendors on the basis of information provided in response to this questionnaire. Shortlisted vendors will then progress to the Tender phase, after which preferred vendor(s) will be selected to provide the requested products. The contract term is for a period of 3 years with an option to extend annually for up to an additional 2 years. (ET Ref:192441).

Requests to participate may be submitted by single entities or by groups of service providers.
