Supply of Fleet and Fleet Management Services to the Coillte Group 2012-2015

Coillte

The Coillte Group is a commercial company operating in Forestry, land based businesses and value added timber processing operations. It is a private limited company structured into three operating divisions namely Coillte Panel Products (CPP), Coillte Forest (CF) and Coillte Enterprise (CE).
Coillte currently manages a fleet of approximately 75 vehicles. This mainly comprises of commercial diesel vehicles of 60 to 80 B.H.P. and G.V.W. of 1 850 kg to 2 000 kg with a payload of 700 kg to 900 kg. The majority of the current fleet is now approximately 5 years old and typical vehicle mileage is 200 000 kilometres.
A large proportion of the vehicles operation is off road in a forest environment.
Coillte is now proposing to replace it’s current commercial vehicle fleet over the next 12 months and seeks expressions of interest from suitably qualified parties for the supply, maintenance and associated fleet management services.
Typical vehicle requirements will be as follows:
— G.V.W. (Gross Vehicle Weight) of 1 850 kg to 2 400 kg,
— payload of 700 kg to 900 kg,
— diesel vehicles of 60 to 140 B.H.P,
— minimum ground clearance of 180 mm,
— under body protection (e.g. engine sump guard),
— tow bar,
— bulk head grill.
As part of the contract coillte will consider the provision and management of a fuel card system for the fleet.
Coillte is also looking to effectively manage the CO2 emissions from the vehicle fleet and are specifically interested in vehicles / vehicle management systems which will meet this objective.
We are interested in hearing from companies who are in a position to provide a fully managed contract for the replacement of fleet and associated fleet management services on a nationwide basis and would consider the following options.
1. Straight purchase of vehicles with fleet management services
2. Leasing of vehicles with fleet management services
