Iarnrรณd ร‰ireann (Iร‰) has a requirement to procure the supply of cleaning and lubrication products c/w applicator devices for use on slide chairs/ baseplates in railway points and crossing. The cleaning and lubricant products are to be compatible.
The cleaning products must be capable of removing the old or degraded grease and clean back to bear metal the slide chairs/ baseplates in railway points and crossing.
The lubricant must be a biodegradable, friction reducing, water repelling agent containing teflon in suspension; suitable for application and use in all weather conditions and at temperatures, -20 deg C to +55 deg C.
The cleaning and lubrication products must be compatible for use on different metal types including cast from grey iron or SG iron, steel fabrication or forging and/or with coating molybdenum.
Technical support and training will be required.
Testimonials must be provided to demonstrate the successful use on slide chairs/baseplates in railway points and crossing on other EU Railways and demonstrate the proven ability to.
โ€” Improve switch movement at high and freezing temperatures, including snow,
โ€” Reduce friction between switch rail and slide chair/baseplate,
โ€” Reduce load on points actuation mechanism,
โ€” Increase availability and reliability for Operations,
โ€” Resists dust and dirt,
โ€” Resist and inhibit rusting,
โ€” Repel water and ice (resistant to being washed off by heavy rainfall),
โ€” Contract will be for a 3 year duration.
