This object of this notice is to seek expressions of interest from suitable candidates for the supply, implementation and support of application optimisation, resource optimisation, environment optimisation and user profile optimisation software for use in ESB’s Citrix/terminal services environment and potentially in the desktop and laptop application environments.
Candidates wishing to express an interest must provide ESB with the information requested in section III.2 below (preferably via email). A selection process will be undertaken by ESB (after the date specified in section IV.3.4 below) in which all expressions of interest received will be reviewed. Tender documents will subsequently be issued to the selected candidates.

ESB plans to migrate its Citrix environment to Windows 2008 R2 and to a newer version of Citrix XenApp over the next year.ESB is seeking user environment management software that will.(1) Manage Windows user profile information without reference to the underlying OS whether it is Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 2003 Terminal Server or windows 2008 RDS;(2) Reduce the volume of profile data stored by capturing only those aspects of users' profiles which are required to be redelivered to users in order to ensure application functionality;(3) Improve the performance, optimise resource allocation, limit CPU usage and reduce the memory footprint of its Citrix based applications;(4) Create efficiencies that will allow ESB to increase the ratio of users to servers thereby facilitating server consolidation;(5) Limit the executables that users may run by checking that they are trusted at execution time;(6) Monitor and enforce 3rd party application usage to enforce license compliance.

ESB is seeking user environment management software that will.
