Health Service Executive (HSE)

The HSE invites Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified companies who wish to participate in a competition for the provision of Support Services for an Outpatient Parental Antimicrobial Therapy Service for the HSE.
The required services are Annex IIB services, and accordingly, only Articles 23 & 35 (4) of the Consolidated Public Procurement Directive 2004/18/EC for the Award of public service contracts, as amended, apply to the award of any contract arising from this process.

An OPAT service comprises three distinct, interrelated delivery models/ strands:
— Strand 1: Self-administered out-patient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (S-OPAT),
— Strand 2: Administration by a Healthcare Professional in the patient’s home (H-OPAT),
— Strand 3: Administration in a community healthcare facility or hospital clinic.
All HSE Hospitals and HSE funded Hospitals are covered within the scope of this tender.
Description of options:
The contract will be awarded for a period of 2 years; the HSE reserves the right to extend the contract for three additional periods of up to 12 months each, subject to an annual review.

Should the contract be awarded to a consortium, each firm in the consortium shall be jointly and severally liable to the contracting authority for the fulfilment of the terms of the contract, with each supplier required to become jointly and severally responsible for the contract before acceptance.
