Provision of security services for FÁS locations

FAS - Foras Aiseanna Saothair,Training and Employment Authority

Foras Aiseanna Saothair (the “Contracting Authority”), the Training and Employment Authority is seeking to retain services in respect of: provision of security services in the various Fás locations. Description of requirements FÁS, the Training and Employment Authority was established in January 1988 under the Labour Services Act 1987. Its functions include the operation of training and employment programmes, the provision of an employment/recruitment service and an advisory and support service for business. As and from 1.1.2011, responsibility for FÁS’ employment services and community employment programmes transferred to the Department of social protection. It is anticipated that these functions will be fully integrated into the Department by mid 2011, including the transfer of staff and relevant assets. FÁS will continue to provide these services on behalf of the Department of social protection in the interim FÁS is seeking suitable qualified and licensed suppliers for the provision of security services to include, but not limited to, the provision of a static presence, mobile patrols/presence, key holding, alarm monitoring, alarm response and CCTV services at various FÁS locations throughout the Republic of Ireland. Some locations may also require maintenance of security equipment. It is important to note that FÁS will only consider applications from suppliers who have the ability to provide the complete list of services requested.
