This project comprises of the construction of an international size Sports Hall, Gymnasium, Aerobics Suite, Treatment Rooms, Lecture Rooms, Offices, Meeting Rooms, Changing Rooms, Toilet Facilities and associated Ancillary Rooms, Storage Area, Building Services, and External Works, having a total gross floor area of approximately c 6,900 m2. The design of the proposed building will incorporate the current best practice for sustainable design, acoustics and energy efficiency, with the objective of keeping running and maintenance costs to a minimum. The proposed building will be located on the Institute’s North Campus at Dromtacker, Tralee, Co. Kerry, and will form an integral part of the campus. This building will service not only the Institute’s requirements but will also be available to external sports activities and events. The final project will be readily accessible to, and usable by, individuals with special needs, accessibility for all is an essential requirement. The Institute is now seeking to appoint a Consultant Project Manager to provide the necessary Project Management Services for the provision of this new facility.
